Everybody knows someone who takes medicine every day, or has chronic pain…or even both.
My modern issue is anxiety, and it has become worse during the pandemic.
Since
2020, I have been working from home more than 90% of the time. It was
amazing in the beginning; my routine is flexible, and I can decide when
and what I will do throughout my day.
As a good Sagittarius woman, I love to be free to decide my commitments.
However…again, as a good Sagittarius woman, I have a lot of energy, and it became a problem.
Moreover, it was not the flexibility of time that became a big deal, but the flexibility of…my body.
Working from home shows me how anxiety may be a problem; I couldn't focus on work and I felt restless on my chair.
Yes…I have tried to decrease the caffeine, but it did not work. Three 250 ml cups of coffee were not the issue - maybe a little.
My psychologist even thought that I could have ADHD. I was not able to center my attention on my tasks nor to stay sitting; I would like to run out into the street...literally. I was more anxious than a child who drank five liters of Coca-Cola.
Well, after some evaluations and tests, we found out the reason: I am just an active person.
And how did we conclude it? Trying exercises…more specifically, burpees.
After exercise sessions, my agitation and anxiety cease. It was like magic! Some burpees and stretching have solved this problem.
ADHD? No! The most pure excessive energy powering my anxiety up.
Home workouts have become a routine; later on, I have also started to take Pilates classes twice a week.
Exercising helps me keep my production high without mental or physical struggles. Plus: no low back pain for me. Be green with envy!
We
often think that our problems are bigger and more complex than they
really are. It is worse when you search for a solution on Google.
Fortunately, I was able to find a good and “natural” solution to my focus problem, without any kind of medicine.
Sometimes, small and simple habits are all that we need to solve an annoying behavior, mainly when the problem starts after you have stopped seeing the outside world.
Sometimes, we only have to remember that we are living beings, and as good living beings, we are made to move…not to stay sitting…moving only our fingers…such as I am doing right now while I write this text for you.
